This printing is the original text of the Westminster Larger Catechism. Several churches have presumed to eliminate from the text of this Catechism its identification of the toleration of Idolatry as a sin against the second commandment. This printing represents the authentic doctrine of the Protestant Reformation, and especially of Bible-believing Presbyterians. Of special note are its answers explaining Justification by Faith Alone, the Doctrines of Grace, the Authority of Holy Scripture, and the distinction between the Visible Church and Invisible Church.
